This department has implemented E-Banking Service in order to facilitate land owners to make online payment through Alliance Bank.
Land owners can check and print the balance of the quit rent and bring to any Alliance Bank branches within Malaysia for payment at the counter. The departmental land offices counters are still available for payment.

The department would like to thank all the legal firms that have provided feedbacks on the newly implemented system LaDESS and a new document has been released to enable the users to have a better understanding of how to use LaDESS.
This document is entitled "LaDESS FAQ Version 1.0". The need for this FAQ document arises from the fact that LaDESS is a web-based application that has been developed to operate through the internet and hence, LaDESS needs to endure the stress of cyber threats. This is the reason why certain keystrokes and intnernet browser functions are not allowed in this application.

Sabah Land and Survey Department Director Datuk Osman Jamal said in the past, many natives who were given land by the government sold it or fell prey to various schemes.
LaDESS is the acronym for "Land Dealings Electronic Submission System". This is the latest web application developed for the upgrading of the Departmental Delivery System to the Rakyat in the processing of land dealings for leases titles such as PL, CL and TL. The system has been developed based on Blue Ocean Strategy to allow the Central Registry to leapfrog in the land dealings processing deploying the latest technologies in a re-engineered working environment, resulting in a win-win scenario for both legal firms and department where cases are submitted and processed in digital manner.
