The department would like to thank all the legal firms that have provided feedbacks on the newly implemented system LaDESS and a new document has been released to enable the users to have a better understanding of how to use LaDESS.
This document is entitled "LaDESS FAQ Version 1.0". The need for this FAQ document arises from the fact that LaDESS is a web-based application that has been developed to operate through the internet and hence, LaDESS needs to endure the stress of cyber threats. This is the reason why certain keystrokes and intnernet browser functions are not allowed in this application.
TONGOD (Sabah): The introduction of communal land titles would help prevent natives from selling their properties for quick profit.
Sabah Land and Survey Department Director Datuk Osman Jamal said in the past, many natives who were given land by the government sold it or fell prey to various schemes.
LaDESS is the acronym for "Land Dealings Electronic Submission System". This is the latest web application developed for the upgrading of the Departmental Delivery System to the Rakyat in the processing of land dealings for leases titles such as PL, CL and TL. The system has been developed based on Blue Ocean Strategy to allow the Central Registry to leapfrog in the land dealings processing deploying the latest technologies in a re-engineered working environment, resulting in a win-win scenario for both legal firms and department where cases are submitted and processed in digital manner.
Rules of the lab
1) If an experiment works, something has gone wrong.
2) When you don't know what you're doing, do it neatly.
3) Experiments must be reproduceable, they should fail the same way each time.
4) First draw your curves, then plot your data.
5) Experience is directly proportional to equipment ruined.
6) Always keep a record of your data. It indicates that you have been working.
7) To do a lab really well, have your report done well in advance.
8) If you can't get the answer in the usual manner, start at the answer and derive the question.
9) In case of doubt, make it sound convincing.
10) Do not believe in miracles--rely on them.
11) Team work is essential, it allows you to blame someone else.
12) All unmarked beakers contain fast-acting, extremely toxic poisons.
13) No experiment is a complete failure. At least it can serve as a negative example.
14) Any delicate and expensive piece of glassware will break before any use can be made of it.
